Adam is a South Carolina native, born and raised in Columbia. In 2013, Adam attended Clemson University, graduating with a degree in History, later, returning back to Columbia to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2017. While in law school, Adam had the opportunity to serve as the President of the Intellectual Property Society.
In 2018, Adam moved to Greenville, accepting a position as a law clerk for the Honorable Robin B. Stillwell in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. The lessons he was bestowed during this experience has shaped the way he has worked as an attorney; these lessons include how a judge views the trial process and plea process, as well as how to better evaluate arguments in the courtroom and avoid common mistakes trial attorneys make.
Following his clerking experience, Adam became an Assistant Public Defender. During this time he had the opportunity to represent and help hundreds of people throughout Greenville County, as he learned the ins and outs of the Greenville County Courthouse and built his experience in defending clients from prosecution. Adam is now admitted to practice law in both South Carolina as well as Federal courts, with most of his cases being based in Greenville and upstate SC. Adam aims to bring this experience and his drive for defending others to the table as a founder and partner at Touma Law Group.
As he fights for his clients within Touma Law Group, Adam also fights for our servicemen and women as a Judge Advocate General (JAG). As a First Lieutenant within JAG, Adam will defend the Army and its Soldiers in its military legal matters, provide legal advice to senior Army officials, and work in criminal and civil cases through conducting legal research, writing briefs, working in investigations, and speaking with witnesses. Adam’s dedication for helping others lies not only with the people in his own community, but for those who fight for our country.
To know more about Adam, he is a proud Syrian-American, as a son to a Syrian immigrant and a local South Carolinian. Adam has learned focus, dedication, and hard work from his father, and inherited his drive from his mother, all of which he uses in his work. In his free time, Adam enjoys judging mock trial competitions for middle and high school students, visiting with his family, and spending time with his dog Arno.
