Michael has made South Carolina his adoptive home. Originally from Richmond Virginia, Michael attended The University of South Carolina, graduating in 2013 with a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Michael doubled down on his love for South Carolina by attending The University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2018.
Throughout law school, Michael clerked in the Lexington County Public Defender’s Office where he learned the importance of client-centered representation and service to those in need.
After graduating from law school, Michael began work for the Richland County Public Defender’s Office in Columbia SC. Michael’s work there took him to the courtrooms and detention centers on a daily basis where he learned the ins and outs of criminal defense and zealous advocacy on behalf of the client. After spending four years at the Richland Public Defender’s Office, and with a new baby on the way, Michael decided to go into private practice.
Now in private practice, Michael prioritizes the lessons he learned while serving those in need at the Public Defender’s Office; Taking the time to truly understand the needs of the clients and have them feel heard. Dedication to ethical and professional conduct as a lawyer. Wise yet fierce representation of the client’s interests. Michael truly enjoys the practice of law and cherishes the opportunity to help those in need of his services.
