Jarrett is a native New Yorker, born in the heart of Brooklyn and raised in inner-city New Jersey. In 2003, as a 17-year-old kid, Jarrett left home to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. After 4 honorable years, and a combat deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, Jarrett left the Marine Corps and joined the United States Army, where he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and completed 1 combat tour to Kandahar, Afghanistan.
After his military service was complete, Jarrett attended Fordham University in New York City where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in 2015 with a double major in Middle East Studies and Theology. With a heart for service and a love for people, Jarrett decided to attend law school in 2018 with hopes of one day becoming a criminal defense attorney.
In 2018, Jarrett was accepted into The University of Alabama, School of Law, a Top 25 law program. While at Alabama, Jarrett was involved in the Military Law Society (President), the Public Interest Student Board (Chairman), and the Federalist Society (Secretary). Upon graduation, Jarrett was inducted into Alabama Law’s most prestigious legal honor society, the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, which is reserved for students displaying a high grade point average as well as a showing of leadership and diversity in their studies.
After graduating from law school in 2021, Jarrett successfully passed the Bar Exam on the first try and was licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. Jarrett immediately went to work with a non-profit organization, The Bail Project, where he helped indigent defendants obtain bail money and regain their freedom. He then served as an Assistant Solicitor with the 10th Circuit in Anderson County, where he prosecuted a variety of crimes ranging from Assault and Battery to Larceny.
To know more about Jarrett, he is an attorney with extremely humble beginnings. Growing up with very little, Jarrett understands the struggle that his clients sometimes go through and has dedicated his life to serving those in need.
